There was a guy named Rio who lived by the curve of the skatepark and the straight edge of the 9-to-5. His life was a clash of systems — freedom vs. discipline, motion vs. gridlock. And he needed a piece that reflected that duality.

That’s where the Fading System I came in.

This jacket wasn’t created for trends. It was built as an observation of formality breaking down — the collision between clean lines and the mess of real life. It holds shape not for conformity, but for resilience.

Inspired by Collapse, Defined by Motion

"Fading System" is a visual metaphor:

• Fading = erosion of surface identity

• System = structural rigidity

The jacket explores what happens when structure begins to deteriorate, but the body keeps moving anyway. It reflects:

• Urban tension between order and rebellion.

• Movement as resistance.

• Style as commentary.

It’s about maintaining form just enough to survive the disorder — and to do it in your own way.

Construction & Sewing Details

Though the silhouette appears clean, the jacket’s intention lies in its details — a visual representation of fragmentation, movement, and self-discipline.

Collar

High-standing mock neck / biker-style collar, constructed with internal interfacing for a clean hold.
A symbol of control — where identity meets function. The zip-through structure allows full closure or a looser drape, depending on how tightly you want to be defined.

Sleeves

Straight-cut full sleeves with zippered cuffs — they adjust, but don’t conform.
The zippers also act as a metaphor: open to move, closed to protect.

Shoulders

The yoke lines are angular, cutting across the chest with symmetry and intention.
These geometric seams reflect a system built on order — but prone to cracking under pressure.

Armholes & Side Cut

Engineered curved armholes (kerung lengan) optimized for motion.
Positioned slightly forward to align with shoulder slope — an ergonomic nod to performance wear in an urban aesthetic.

Accessories & Stitching

• Two zippered welt pockets, slanted for dynamic access and visual tilt.

• Two top-entry flap pockets with slight overhang — intentionally off the grid for asymmetry.

• Waistband with reinforced panel and hidden elastic — maintaining line while allowing give.

• Stitch lines are double stitched, tonal with shadow contrast — structure that doesn’t seek attention but doesn’t fade either.

Fabric & Wash

• 12 oz mid-weight denim, overdyed in blue-black and treated with directional fade wash, producing a contrast between shadowed seams and bleached volume.

• Slight abrasion on inner panels and pocket edges — signals of wear, of tension, of time.
